By using JIODE ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

JIODE is a streaming guide that helps users discover where to watch movies and TV shows across various streaming platforms. The Service provides:

• Movie and TV show search — Find content by title, genre, or actor
• Streaming platform availability — See which services have a particular title
• Watchlist creation — Save movies and shows to watch later
• Viewing history — Keep track of what you've watched

All movie data is sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) API and is provided "as is" for informational purposes only.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service (such as watchlist and history), you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are inactive for extended periods.

4. User Content

You retain all rights to the content you submit to the Service (e.g., watchlist items, history). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to store and display it as part of the Service.

You agree not to submit content that is:

• Illegal, harmful, or offensive
• Infringing on others' rights
• Misleading or fraudulent
• Containing malware or harmful code

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content (except user-submitted data), is the intellectual property of JIODE and Martin Onyisi. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the Service without permission
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Reverse engineer or extract the source code

6. Third-Party Services

JIODE integrates with third-party services including:

• Firebase (Google) — For authentication and data storage
• TMDB — For movie and TV show data
• Streaming platforms — For availability information

We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Illegal or harmful behavior
• Extended inactivity (12+ months)

Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, and we may delete your account data. You may delete your own account at any time from the Edit Profile section.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The information provided is accurate or complete
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

Streaming availability information is for reference only and may change without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JIODE AND MARTIN ONYISI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or content
• Service interruptions or errors
• Actions taken based on information provided by the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) for the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by:

• Posting the updated terms on the Service
• Updating the "Last updated" date
• Sending email notifications (if you have opted in)

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
